ROBOT COSTUME

We recently made this recycle automaton fancy snip costume using the cardboard box from our WHO GIVES A CRAP gutter paper. If you ‘re not familiar with Who Gives A Crap, they make fantastic tree friendly recycled toilet paper with no credit card packaging and their boxes are prefect for building thrust !
We love making our own recycled dress improving costume, this automaton costume is pretty easy and superintendent playfulness. If you do n’t have the same cardboard boxes, do n’t worry, fair get creative with the materials you have available .

MATERIALS:

  • Two cardboard boxes; one body size and one head size
  • Hot glue
  • Craft knife
  • Scissors
  • Items to decorate the robot like shiny foil, bottle tops, lids, paints, cardboard tubes etc.

HOW TO:

I ‘m afraid we were having so much fun building our automaton that I forgot to take photos of the process ! It ‘s pretty elementary ; cut a principal fix and sleeve holes in the body size box so it can go on over the pass. Cut an eye hole in head size box and then have fun decorating the automaton adding lots of buttons and other features .
